We posted this message only as information regarding the below matter in the event you have run into any problems with your 2007 K2 Auto Snowboard Bindings and for your safety. You can use the contact info below for reference in getting your bindings replaced in a timely manner. K2 has assured the problem has been resolved for the 08/09 snowboard season and the bindings are more responsive than ever! Happy shredding.

Dear K2 Snowboarder,

We are writing to inform you of the immediate recall of our 2007 model year K2 “Auto”
series snowboard bindings. The decision to recall the product is the result of reports of
the strap cable breaking on this binding. If the strap cable were to break while riding, it
could potentially cause the rider’s boot to become loose or release from the binding
causing a loss of control. This recall does not affect any other K2 binding products.
Please stop riding your 2007 model year K2 “Auto” series snowboard bindings
immediately and bring them back to the shop where they were purchased. The strap
cable will be replaced for free. If you are in the USA and are not able to visit the dealer
where you purchased the Auto binding, please contact K2 at 800-985-2191 or send an
email to AutoBindingUpgrade@k2sports.com for instructions.

K2 has a 20-plus year history of designing safe, convenient, and high-performance
snowboarding products that make the sport more fun for all levels of riders. We stand
behind our products and pride ourselves on our relationship with our customers. Please
accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,
