Windells Camps, No More Hiking.

The Idea of a using rope tows for more productive use of parks and pipes has been around for decades.  In the Midwest, places like Highland Hills Ski Area and Buck Hill, have been using rope tows since before they had lifts.Now these same systems, allow groms to get twenty or more park laps in per hour.  This has certainly had a good effect on Midwest riders like Zach Marben(Mack Dawg’s “We’re People Too”) and Ricky Tucker (filming for the Nirto team video). No More Carpet Boarding for the UK… Indoor Shredding!

As portrayed in David Benedek and Christophe Weber’s film In Short, the UK shred scene is something out of a skatepark designers drug induced nightmare.  Children dropping in to AstroTurf like carpet laid over grassy Knowles. It makes me happy I grew up riding a stump of a hill in Minnesota (total vert, maybe 500ft).
