Red Bull and Quiksilver’s “That’s It That’s All” Video Premier

October 9th, 2008 by mason

Be there for the unveiling of Travis Rice’s new snowboard video “That’s It, That’s All” tomorrow night at the Roseway Theatre 7229 NE Sandy blvd in Portland Oregon.  Two showings 6:30pm and 8:30pm.  Red Bull and Quiksilver have pulled out all the stops on this new feature film that is sure to blow you away!  With the sizeable budget of these two heavyweights you can rest assure that no expense was beyond reach.  Heading up the cinematography is none other than the mastermind Curt Morgan, the second half of Travis’s production company “Brainfarm”.  With his talents of filming for Grenade films and the Community Project, Curt has managed to encompass super technical riding that pushes the limits of snowboarding all while achieving that National Geographic stylistic genre.  Be prepared for amazement with the likes of riders Mark Landvik, Nicolas Muller, and Jeremy Jones (to name a few) as they explore the mountains of Alaska and Jackson Hole to see what’s in store for you.  This is anticipated to be the most progressive film ever in the snowboard industry.  Aside from the technical riding, the panoramic scenes and birds eye views from above in the helicopter are something no one should miss.  Filmed with a Cineflex Camera System mounted to the bottom of the helicopter, the resolution capture is unexplainable.  In short, “Perfect!”  I can’t wait to see what the final product is like.

TruSnow and Portland Boarding Company are proud to offer a special discount to customers shopping for all their riding needs through October 17th.  See our huge line of inventory from brands like Burton, K2, Salomon, Rome, Ride, 686, Holden and more to take advantage of preseason deals on 2009 Snowboards, Snowboard Boots, Snowboard Bindings, Snowboard Outerwear and accessories.

Portland Boarding Company is located at:

K2 Snowboards hosts Double Decade Premier

October 8th, 2008 by mason

K2 Snowboards hosted the Video Premier of “Double Decade” at Clinton St. Theatre in Portland, OR.  The venue was small, but cozy seats housing 200+ people and flowing PBR’s kept the party rocking.  The theatre frequently offers showings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.  The video showcased the next progression in riding with many very well-received segments from all your favorite riders. Riders like Wille Yli-Luoma, Jeremy Jones, Eero Ettala, and Jussi Oksanen tighten up the game with exceptional talent. The movie incorporated 20 years worth of snowboarding pioneers and ground breaking MDP parts over the years from names like Chris Roach, Bryan Iguchi, Noah Salasnek,  Ingemar Backman, Jamie Lynn and JP Walker.  “Double Decade” breaks out the jams with a mix of music from the likes of the Pet Shop Boys, Devo, David Bowie, Doobie Brothers, and – believe it or not – the Grass Root’s “Let’s Live For Today” for a very soulful and artistic Jussi part.

(NW K2 Snowboard Rep, Dan Sorcinelli)

This premier is one of many that has brought on the stoke for this winter season.  Pray for snow!  Check out TruSnow for all your riding needs including K2 Snowboards, Burton Snowboards, DC Snowboards, Rome, Ride, Salomon, Snowboard Boots, Bindings, Outerwear and more.
